Commercial art, graphic design, and special effects that educate the consumer market about a product or service, may be required along with updating, rewriting, and/or editing materials.
Aquarian produced several live concert shows for clients over the winter months. Lady Antebellum performed at the 2010 Truckload Carriers Association’s annual convention in the Wynn in Las Vegas. The Capitol Steps performed for a DC client’s PAC event in Arlington, VA, and the Gin Blossoms performed at The Joint in Las Vegas for CTIA’s first annual “unplugged” concert. Aquarian booked and stage managed all these events, and we are experiencing a resurgence in live event bookings in 2010.

Aquarian traveled to San Francisco, California to produce the Annual Conference on Retroviruses & Opportunistic Infections (CROI) at the Moscone Center. CROI is the largest annual U.S. Conference on AIDS and other opportunistic infections. It has approximately 4,600 attendees, with almost 40% being international. Aquarian provided planning, audiovisual and logistical support for 5 major ballroom setups. We presided over all audiovisual spec needs from floor plan creation & labor scheduling to vendor recommendation, budgeting and supervision. We also supplied a team of on-site art directors and PowerPoint operators to accommodate over 250 speaker presentations delivered at the meeting, which were all webcast. The international nature of the presentations, utilizing many different software platforms demands a great deal of file reformatting on-site as well as rehearsal room and cyber café management.

In Louisville, Kentucky
Aquarian designed and built a “Today Show” type studio setting for a
Freightliner Trucks’ press event, showcasing their new Coronado SD at the
ICUEE show in October 2009. A high-resolution 9’ x 15’ LED video wall
hung overhead and another high-resolution 5’ x 8’ LED video wall served as a scenic backdrop. Video shoots were produced in Nashville, TN, Peoria, IL and Louisville, KY. The marketing video showcased the product (truck) in its vocational environment, using both a rock quarry and lumber yard as examples. Aquarian managed the video shoots, wrote the scripts, edited the videos, and created the final live cast & show modules displayed on-site in Louisville.

Aquarian traveled to Las Vegas in October 2009 to produce the American Trucking Associations Annual Management Conference & Exhibition. The show was held in the Mandalay Bay Ballroom. Hard and soft set pieces complimented three large video screens. Theatrical lighting was used to enhance the graphic design for each of the different sessions. A dais with a built-in moderator podium was added to the multipurpose stage which also served as the entertainment stage for the gala awards dinner. Country Hall of Famer and superstar, Vince Gill, electrified the audience with a concert performing his greatest hits.

Aquarian was called on by DAIMLER Trucks North America to produce a grand opening event, for their new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The 1.3-million sq. foot facility is located on approximately 740 acres in Saltillo, Mexico, 20 miles southwest of Monterrey. Aquarian provided concepts, renderings and stage designs, creating floor plans from the raw architecture drawings. Based on the remote location of this event, Aquarian also provided all carpeting, chairs, tables and linens, which under normal circumstances would be provided by a venue.
A custom stage set, extensive lighting and one of the first shows produced in Mexico entirely in HD video were provided. Approximately one week before the event, it was confirmed that the president of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, would be on-site for the grand opening. We added multi-language translation and accommodated a traveling press pool of approximately 100. With considerable experience in presidential events, high-security clearances and international know-how, this was no problem for Aquarian. The event was a huge success and received international media coverage.
