FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 2006

Aquarian is proud to become the
primary sponsor of the exciting young AMCT2.0
Racing Team, driving in
Germany’s venerable BF Goodrich Langstreckenpokal
endurance cup series. On 10 Saturdays each year from
March to October, the team’s custom Mercedes-Benz
190E wears Aquarian’s corporate
logo as it challenges the twists and turns of the legendary
Nürburgring-Nordschleife
circuit in races lasting up to 6 hours.
The Nürburgring-Nordschleife circuit epitomizes
the history and spirit of motor sports. Owing to its
spectacular beauty and 13 miles of curves,
climbs, and descents that wind precipitously
through green volcanic mountains, the Nürburgring-Nordschleife
was famously dubbed “The Green Hell” by
Grand Prix legend Jackie Stewart. Since its opening
in 1927, the track that drivers have called "the
greatest and most challenging race circuit in the world"
has witnessed many of racing’s
greatest moments. Today, in addition to the races
and test drives regularly held there, the
circuit is often open to the public, who flock there
to experience firsthand the thrills of one of racing’s
iconic settings.
The BF Goodrich Langstreckenpokal
offers racing fans an especially personal experience,
permitting access to the drivers’ camp,
the pit lane, and the pits—even allowing
them to circulate among the cars on the track before
the start. During the series, as many as 220 teams
compete in a range of classes. In its
first season the AMCT2.0 Racing Team,
under the mentorship
of illustrious driver Marcel Tiemann, finished in the
top third of its class, demonstrating its potential.
The team is managed by Günter
Ohler, the drivers are Jens Thiemer and Roland
Stähler, and Oliver Schmitt is technical manager. Aquarian provides clients with innovative
solutions for all of their meeting needs by utilizing
the extensive experience of Aquarian’s event
management team to produce compelling creative designs,
delivering leading entertainers and keynote
speakers and executing the “live” event
flawlessly with the highest possible production values.
