Aquarian was called on by DAIMLER Trucks North America to produce a grand opening event, for their new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The 1.3-million sq. foot facility is located on approximately 740 acres in Saltillo, Mexico, 20 miles southwest of Monterrey. Aquarian provided concepts, renderings and stage designs, creating floor plans from the raw architecture drawings. Based on the remote location of this event, Aquarian also provided all carpeting, chairs, tables and linens, which under normal circumstances would be provided by a venue. A custom stage set, extensive lighting and one of the first shows produced in Mexico entirely in HD video were provided. Approximately one week before the event, it was confirmed that the president of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, would be on-site for the grand opening. We added multi-language translation and accommodated a traveling press pool of approximately 100. With considerable experience in presidential events, high-security clearances and international know-how, this was no problem for Aquarian. The event was a huge success and received international media coverage.

The Venetian in Las Vegas set the stage for the last annual meeting of the American Community Bankers. This meeting marked the merger of the American Bankers Association with American Community Bankers, undertaken at the height of the liquidity crisis! Speakers at this event included former Dallas Cowboy Emmitt Smith, and FDIC head Sheila Bair as well as other industry leaders. The event was very well attended, continuing the trend of increasing attendance at Las Vegas venues.

Recently, Aquarian produced the American Trucking Associations annual convention at the Marriott Orlando World Center in Florida. ATA was the first show held at the hotel since its major ballroom expansion, and we used all available space. For the General Session set in the Grand Ballroom, Aquarian utilized three video screen areas plus an entire set featuring rear projected scenery elements from catalyst media servers. The set design facilitated panel discussions, award programs, and a State of the Industry Address, with animations and complex graphics.

Aquarian introduced a major new truck, The Cascadia, for Freightliner Trucks in May 2007 in San Diego, CA. The aircraft carrier U.S.S. Midway was selected as the location of the launch site. The Theme “All Hands on Deck” and the shipboard location combined to create an unforgettable product launch.

Aquarian provided full service for the 14th Conference on
Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI) which was a scientifically focused meeting of the world’s leading researchers working to understand, prevent and treat HIV/AIDS and its complications. This conference, held at the L.A. Convention Center, attracted over 4000 scientists and researchers and required extensive planning throughout the year. The keynote sessions utilized 18 x 24 graphic screens and featured a Wifi service for all attendees.

Aquarian produced the 2006 Sterling
Trucks Dealer Meeting at the J.W. Marriott Hotel
in Phoenix,
AZ. A large interactive video montage wall provided
the backdrop for the general session set. A 10-person
onsite art department created hundreds of frames
for speeches supporting the “Building Our
Business” theme. A new product was revealed
onstage, driving the scenic designs. Aquarian
was also responsible for managing a trade fair,
numerous breakout rooms and provided Las Vegas
showman Gordie Brown as the evening’s entertainment.

Aquarian Entertainment and
Production Services produced a five-day series
of meetings in
the heart of NASCAR country, Charlotte, NC. With
the theme, “Ladies and Gentlemen, Start Your
Engines” Aquarian designed and built beautiful
stage pieces with a racing wheel motif. The production
included multiple truck divisions and a dramatization
of a “Senate” hearing to demand the truth
about competitors claims.
